MATRIX is an EMMY award winning company which has produced many hundreds of videos and commercials for clients including: Disney, Random House Publishing, Times Mirror, 3M, Raytheon, L.A. County Metropolitan Transit Authority (Metro), Metropolitan Water District, Robert F. Kennedy Medical Foundation, Pacific Sales (Best Buy), CalSurance, Wet Seal,
St. Francis Medical Center, Conroy’s 1-800-Flowers, as well as various county and city agencies and Chambers of Commerce.

Of special interest is MATRIX’s relationship with PACIFIC SALES, which was purchased in 2005 by BEST BUY for 410 million dollars. MATRIX has been the sole tv production company for PACIFIC SALES since 1991 in which time PACIFIC SALES grew from 3 locations to the current 14 spread across Southern California. PACIFIC SALES’ revenue increased over six fold during those years. MATRIX continues to produce the PACIFIC SALES commercials for BEST BUY. (more)

MATRIX communications’ Senior Producer Marta Houske has produced, directed and written in the television industry for over twenty five years, working on hundreds of productions. She is a twice nominated EMMY Award winner for her writing, directing and producing, and has won dozens of national awards recognizing the excellence and effectiveness of her work including a New York Festivals World Gold Medal and two CINE Golden Eagles.

Houske’s career began on the classic tv series “In Search Of ...” hosted by Leonard Nimoy. She also served as one of the Production Executives who launched the early cable network CHN (now called the Lifetime network), and worked in Research & Development as well as wrote with Star Trek’s creator Gene Roddenberry. She holds a Degree in Communications - Filmaking from U.C.S.D. (Magna cum Laude, Revelle. Minor in Biology).

Houske has also worked with: Anthony Quinn, Tony Curtis, Steve Allen, Della Reese, Jamie Lee Curtis, Tova & Ernest Borgnine, Christina Pickles, Barbara Marx Hubbard, Nichelle Nichols, Majel Barrett Roddenberry, Joseph Campanella, Annette Warren & Paul Smith and many talented others as well as members of the Lakers, the Raiders, various politicians, corporate and community leaders.

Houske has received a Directors Guild of America “Certificate of Appreciation,” an Academy of Television Arts & Sciences “Honor of Service,” and is a past member of the American Society of Magazine Photographers. She has served on EMMY Award judging panels five times, and taken part in the Directors Guild of America’s Mentor Program.
